Who we are

This website is operated by Simahum Designs LLC, a web design and development company registered in the Sultanate of Oman and based in Muscat. If you have any question about this policy or about information we hold, write to info@simahum.com or call +968 95103362.

What we collect

• Enquiries. When you send the enquiry form we receive your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in and the message you write. We need these to answer you.
• Article comments. If you comment on an article we receive your name, email address and your comment. Your name and comment are published once approved; your email address is not published.
• Technical records. Our server keeps ordinary web logs — the address of the device making the request, the pages requested, the time, and the browser used. These exist so the site can run and so we can investigate faults and abuse.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that the site needs in order to work: a session cookie, a security token that protects forms from cross-site request forgery, and your choice of language and light or dark appearance. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not use third-party analytics on this site. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; the site will still work, but it will not remember your language or appearance choice.

Services we rely on

A few third parties process data on our behalf, strictly to deliver this site:

• Mailgun delivers the notification emails generated by the enquiry form and password resets.
• Google reCAPTCHA may be enabled on public forms to block automated spam. Google processes that interaction under its own privacy policy.
• Our hosting provider stores the website, its database and its backups on servers it operates.

How we use what we collect

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, to carry out work you ask us to do, to publish approved comments, and to keep the website secure and working. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for marketing. We disclose information only to the processors listed above, or where the law of Oman requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while they are useful to an ongoing or prospective working relationship, and then removed. Comments remain until you ask us to take them down or we remove them. Backups are kept on a rotating schedule and overwritten in turn.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@simahum.com and we will respond. If you asked us a question and no longer want us to hold the enquiry, say so and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will publish the new version on this page and update the date shown below.
